We are looking for an experienced SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (EC Payroll) Practice Lead with deep expertise in SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll, payroll transformation programs, and SAP HCM Payroll. This role combines technical leadership, people management, and business development responsibilities to drive the growth and success of our EC Payroll practice.

As the Practice Lead, you will own the delivery excellence of Employee Central Payroll engagements, define solution strategies, mentor consultants, and ensure the successful execution of complex payroll transformation projects. You will also play a key role in developing the practice, supporting pre-sales activities, and building trusted relationships with clients and SAP.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Practice Leadership

 

  • Lead and develop the SAP SuccessFactors EC Payroll practice, ensuring high-quality delivery and continuous capability growth.
  • Manage, coach, and mentor a team of 8 SAP EC Payroll consultants, supporting their professional development, performance, and career progression.
  • Drive knowledge sharing, implementation standards, reusable assets, and best practices across the practice.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, resource planning, and capability development initiatives.
  • Ensure delivery quality, governance, and compliance with organizational methodologies and SAP best practices.

 

Solution Delivery

 

  • Lead end-to-end design, configuration, and implementation of SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll solutions.
  • Advise clients on payroll transformation strategies, operating models, and best practice solution design.
  • Facilitate discovery sessions, design workshops, and solution validation with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Define payroll business processes, functional specifications, configuration documentation, testing strategies, and deployment plans.
  • Oversee all project phases including solution design, configuration, testing (SIT, UAT, Parallel Payroll), cutover, hypercare, and transition to support.
  • Ensure successful integration between Employee Central Payroll and Employee Central, SAP Time solutions, SAP Integration Suite (CPI), SAP BTP, finance systems, and third-party applications.
  • Provide governance for payroll schema, rules, wage types, payroll control center, posting to finance, and payroll operations where applicable.

 

Client & Business Development

 

  • Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders and act as a strategic advisor on payroll transformation initiatives.
  • Support pre-sales activities including solution demonstrations, effort estimation, proposal development, and client presentations.
  • Contribute to practice growth through pipeline development, SAP collaboration, and participation in industry events.
  • Identify opportunities to expand client engagements and promote complementary SAP SuccessFactors solutions.

 

Required Skills and Experience

 

  • 10+ years of SAP HCM / SAP SuccessFactors experience with at least 5 years focused on SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll.
  • Proven experience delivering multiple full-cycle SAP Payroll and/or EC Payroll implementations.
  • Strong expertise in SAP Employee Central Payroll configuration, payroll schemas, rules, wage types, payroll processing, and payroll operations.
  • Solid understanding of SAP Employee Central integration and core HR processes.
  • Experience with payroll integrations using SAP Integration Suite (CPI), SAP BTP, or other middleware solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll testing methodologies including parallel payroll, reconciliation, and cutover planning.
  • Familiarity with SAP Activate methodology and implementation governance.
  • Proven experience leading consulting teams and managing people.
  • Experience managing, mentoring, and developing a team of consultants.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, presentation, and client-facing skills.
  • Ability to lead multiple concurrent projects while maintaining delivery excellence.

 

Desirable

 

  • SAP Employee Central certification.
  • Exposure to SuccessFactors Time Management, Employee Central Time, or SAP Time Tracking.
  • Knowledge of payroll legislation across multiple countries.
  • Experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
  • Previous experience in Practice Lead, Delivery Lead, or Solution Architect roles.
  • Experience supporting pre-sales, account growth, and strategic business development.
