The Engagement Manager will be responsible to identify opportunities in the HR arena in the US region using HR Technologies to improve their processes. The person would need to identify how the HR Technologies can fit gaps into their HR processes as well as writing a clear proposal and defining the right scope. This person will be able to give an overview of the main characteristics of the solution and giving an overview demo of the solution which are more suitable for the prospect or client.


Essential Duties and Job Functions

For a Engagement Management Consultant to be successful at their job, at a minimum, they will need to:


  • Develops and approves the project deliverables, i.e. project plan, resourcing, and approach for proposals Identifies requirements not included in project scope and facilitates change order procedures
  • Responsible for recruiting activities, including conducting interviews and recommending on hiring/non-hiring candidates for all levels of consultants
  • Manages large scale projects and is responsible for all aspects of project deliverables
  • Meets on a regular basis with project staff and key client resources to track progress and identify issues
  • Consults key client on additional or alternative approaches for major challenges, threatening to interfere with timely and/or qualitatively delivery of project deliverables
  • Reports regularly to Business Plan Owner on margin of projects, potentials for additional revenue, employee satisfaction and development, recruitment and retention, and progress of projects in general
  • Takes part in sales presentations and business development initiatives as delivery expert
  • Responsible for career-development of consultants assigned to her/him i.e coaching, reviews, and evaluations


Secondary Functions:

  • Monitor the quality of work and timeline deliverables of consultants, identify issues in that work and take appropriate actions
  • Prioritize and delegate tasks across internal and external assignments
  • Responsible for providing customer and HR Path management aggregate information with regard to project and/or resources
  • Manage a team of consultants (both technical and functional), identify and resolve any issues related to work
  • Takes ownership of a project implementation with minimal supervision


Required Professional Expertise:

To successfully accomplish this job, at a minimum, the following job requirements are needed:


  • Ability to communicate effectively and give presentations to clients on all levels
  • Skilled in translating technical concepts into functional level usage for clients, both verbally and in written format
  • Involved in at least 7 full project lifecycles
  • Thought Leader at least one sub-module of SuccessFactors (or other HCM) software (sub-module:  ie. ‘EC’, ‘Succession’, ‘Payroll’, ‘Recruiting’) and expert knowledge in at least one other module
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies
  • Capable of discussing and finalizing with customers the details of project proposals
  • Ability to link the customer needs to specific elements of the HR Path product/service portfolio
  • Expert knowledge of the different integration possibilities with the HCM solution to other solutions, third parties, intranets and legacy systems
