Employee Central Consultant Roles & Responsibilities

  • Professional manner and ability to set and manage customer expectations through personal involvement or delegation.
  • Lead and oversee end-to-end implementation projects for SAP Payroll or Employee Central Payroll (ECP).
  • Configure, customize, and test SAP Payroll/ECP modules and functionalities to meet client requirements, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.
  • Provide training and knowledge transfer to client stakeholders, including payroll administrators and end-users, to facilitate smooth transition and adoption of SAP Payroll/ECP solutions.
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) on SAP Payroll implementation methodologies, tools, and best practices, providing mentorship and guidance to junior consultants and project team members.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills — work systematically and logically to resolve problems, identify root cause, and determine opportunities to address and correct any issues.
  • Ability to use tools such as Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Visio to effectively update and maintain documentation.
  • Client focused with ability to demonstrate concern for meeting and exceeding immediate and future needs of clients.
  • Ability to work on multiple client projects at the same time.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and time management skills.
  • Analysis of the business requirements and an analysis of the adjustment gap between the customer's requirements and the technological solution.
  • Translate business requirements into system configuration objects and create a solution design for the solution in accordance with best practices.
  • Proactively identify potential sources of solution improvement (writing a clear solution to the client, communicating resolutions to the project team)
  • Participate in Third Party Application Maintenance, assistance in managing the maintenance of the solution with end users, and the reliability of the HRIS system data in order to ensure its continued quality
  • Carry out technical and functional monitoring (monitoring software and legal developments in the business environment), advise and train users on the final solution
  • Respond to corrective, preventive and evolutionary maintenance tickets for the solution (delivery of fixes, development developments), test and control the solutions provided to customer

Required Professional Expertise:

  • Complete understanding of the process and life cycle of US Payroll, including Taxes and Garnishments.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the implementation of SAP Employee Central Payroll (ECP)
  • Strong learning capacity: agility and willingness to acquire new skills and quickly adapt to new tasks and environments.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Adapt quickly to new tasks and customer environments.
  • Employee Central SuccessFactors experience and experience integrating with Employee Central Payroll
